X-ray diffraction
We use hard X-rays to analyze the structure of various sample systems on atomic length scales. We work on problems in the fields of physics, medical physics, chemistry and mechanical engineering.
We mainly use X-ray diffraction (under grazing incidence), X-ray reflectivity and small angle X-ray scattering. For this purpose we operate two X-ray diffractometers (Bruker D8) and the beamlines BL2 and BL9 at the synchrotron radiation source DELTA. However, part of our experiments also take place at the large radiation sources such as the ESRF in Grenoble, PETRA III in Hamburg and the European XFEL in Schenefeld.
